Lyssand Treindustri is well-established as one of the largest
window manufacturers in Norway. Located on the west coast of Norway,
Lyssand has a very rough testing ground.
This region is known for its harsh climate with heavy rain, strong
winds, salt spray from the sea and unsettled weather patterns ranging
from rain and heat to snow and frost with temperature variations
from 30°c to -30°c.
Exposed to all these climatic forces, the Lyssand window has documented

Lyssand Treindustri A/S is the Company that produces windows and doors
under the trade name LYSSAND. We have 120 employees with a £10 million
annual budget of which £1.4 million is sales to Britain. Lyssand
strives to be a market orientated window and door manufacturer with our
main emphasis on quality control and delivery reliability. Lyssand is
an ISO 9001 certified company.
Lyssand - from timber furniture to state of the art windows
Lyssand Treindustri is well established
as one of the largest windows and doors manufacturers in Norway. The Company
started out with handmade timber furniture and windows in the nineteen
forties. In the sixties it converted to a specialized factory for windows
and doors, using the prototype of today's fully reversible hinge system.
Over the past 35 years Lyssand has pioneered and played a vital role in
the development of high quality windows and doors as represented by our
products today. The Lyssand factory is situated close to Bergen on the
West Coast of Norway, which enjoys excellent links to Britain.
10 Years functional guarantee
Located on the West Coast of Norway, Lyssand has the roughest testing

our products, this covers the stability for the timber components, and
breakage's of ironmongery and condensation or optical faults to the glazing
units.
Lyssand Quality Control and Delivery Service
All Lyssand windows and doors are manufactured
in accordance with the highest quality standards. Products, product facilities
and control procedures are in full compliance with the NS-EN ISO 9001:1994
standard. Quality documentation is available on request. The windows and
doors have been tested and approved in Norway by NDVK (Norsk Dør og VindusKontroll),
in Britain by MACDATA at Paisley University and in Germany by Institut
für Fenstertechnik, Rosenheim (DIN 18055) Integrated in our quality control
system is also a delivery punctuality reporting system which tracks all
deliveries and matches them against promised delivery dates as specified
on all our order forms. (Correct goods delivered at correct time) We are
proud to announce that Lyssand's delivery reliability is close to 100%,
which is exceptional for the industry. It is reassuring for our customers
to know that our windows and doors have the agreed specification and will
